Do we seek to impress with our resume, wow people with our wit, and flatter with our friend list? What are people encouraged to say, once they leave our presence?
Reading through Acts and Romans, I have been impressed with the central nature of eternal truth in the daily lives of believers. They didn't seem fixated on worldly renown and apparently failed to read the memo concerning the separation of church and state. It appears that faith in Christ informed and flavored everything they did.
As a result, the gospel went viral. In the end, their integrated lives turned the local story of a Nazarene into Global Gossip.
Romans 1:8 “Let me say first that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you because your faith in him being talked about all over the world.“
Acts 19:20 “So the message about the Lord spread widely and had a powerful effect.”
