justice

Just Justice // Micah

Just in Hebrew (sad-seek) connotes ‘right, correct, lawful.’ God says of Himself that He is just. All He does flows out of who He is, and therefore all He does is correct. He never does wrong. He is the only being that is innately and perfectly right. He cannot be unjust anymore than a rock can be a tree. This is both sobering and comforting. For the one who will not submit to God, shuns His grace, and instead embraces what God calls sin, it is sobering as the just judge will not declare wrong right. For the one who has trusted in Christ payment on their behalf, it is comforting. God will not renege, He will not back peddle because He is just. He is stable, and those who have been declared right before Him in Christ have a constant lawful advocate who will not overturn His declaration of pardon. -Musings
